ARTS AND CRAFTS STYLE ADDITION IN NEW PALTZ
This painted cedar shingle addition blends seamlessly with the existing home. It extends the house out to the edge of a ravine where the sounds of the creek can be heard in the new second story bedroom. The addition of the projected square bay with window seat makes this perch a great place to be.
SUPER GLASS RENOVATIONS OLIVE
With a near and clear view of the Catskills walled off in the existing condition, we rebuilt the existing screened porch 10’ further south allowing for 2 levels of glass framing the view. These huge windows (Sublime from Poland) are triple glazed and are R-7 which is double that of typical code compliant product which brings a level of comfort along with bringing the Catskills to the interior experience. The new decking is Cumaru from Advantage Millwork which is sustainably harvested tropical wood that will turn a nice silver gray over time.
MODERNISM IN LLOYD
This Sunroom is an addition to a 1980s modern house first designed and occupied by the graphic and fine artist Joseph Caroff. The existing sunroom was not in keeping with the rest of the house and this new addition seamlessly replaces that with huge picture windows that frame the intricate rock outcroppings that surround the house.
